Meet Anna

Marketing graduate,
ex-waterpolo player,

We’re very lucky to have Anna join us for the summer as our Creative Marketing Intern! She’s a recent graduate of the University of Sussex, where she studied Marketing and Management with Psychology.

Read on to find out about her home country, her thirst for adventure, and what she wants to do now that she’s graduated!

What’s an interesting fact that not many people know about you?

When I was much younger I was really sporty. Before coming to the UK I used to be on a waterpolo team called “flashing seals”. The trainer was a guy called Feri Valkay and his daughters were all famous waterpolo players! One of them played for Italy and the other one was European and World Champion.

What do you want to do now that you’ve graduated from uni?

Honestly? I could probably take a 3 month nap. But really I really want to do a masters in Marketing with Consumer Psychology and then work in social media/PR. If I could do it internationally that would be amazing because I love travelling and learning about different cultures.

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

Oh just one? I’d love to have a van and travel around Europe for a bit, that would be amazing. I want to travel to so many places. I know its really cliche, but I want to see as much of the world as possible. Would love to go to Bora Bora as well, thats been a goal since I was 16.

What’s something you really miss about your home country?

Well the obvious answer is family! But, I really miss the weather. Before global warming was noticable, I always thought Hungary had the best weather. In the winter it used to get super cold, like -15C and snow was a regular occurrence. But then in the summer it gets to around +34-40 degrees which meant we always got these glorious summers and lots of Vitamin D! It also means that from may-september everyone just builds these great tans and then in the winter they look like ghosts.

What’s one thing you can talk about for hours on end?

Music. And books. I love reading, my current favourite is the Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstenn, so I can talk about books for hours. Especially Lord of the Rings. I am secretly a huge nerd! Music is very similar, I am always listening to something and I love giving song recommendations to people.
